Hello and welcome!

My name is Will, founder of Wellspring Counselling. I discovered a passion for working one-on-one with my clients while I was a social worker, and started Wellspring to deepen and continue that work.

Everyone’s mental health journey is different, and therapy needs to be tailored to the individual. I’ve immersed myself in a range of therapeutic practices to offer a holistic, evidence-based approach, and further training has qualified me as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker – meaning I can offer therapy with a Medicare rebate, so cost is significantly reduced.

I was raised in Adelaide, South Australia, by refugee Chinese-Vietnamese parents who carried their own share of poverty, trauma and hardship. Growing up between two cultures gave me a close, personal understanding of the family expectations, identity questions, and inherited pain that many of my clients bring into the room – and it’s a large part of why I do this work.

Outside of work, I enjoy time with my partner, our cats, football, time in nature, and a good crime thriller.
