Hi! My name is Danielle.

My clients describe me as a warm, empathetic, and patient therapist. I am dedicated to helping you find hope and a path forward in a truly non-judgmental space where you can safely process your thoughts and emotions. I maintain unwavering patience and care for you during the journey of growth that we embark upon together.

I take a holistic approach to therapy, blending deep, empathetic listening with evidence-based techniques from a range of therapies and approaches, including:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Trauma-informed care
  • Somatic experiencing
  • Christian counselling

My areas of clinical interest and experience include:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Mood disorders (such as depression)
  • Emotional regulation and stress management
  • Relationship issues, including cross-cultural relationships
  • Personal life transitions
  • Grief and loss
  • Addiction
  • Trauma, intergenerational trauma, and post-traumatic stress

I’m passionate about the work I do because I received counselling and therapy (and continue to!) during my most dark and hopeless moments. During the peak of COVID, studying a degree I no longer loved, I found myself drowning in stress, uncertainty, and fear of the future. I craved understanding, but even among friends and family, I felt afraid to share. Then I met my counsellor—someone who offered me a safe space, a fresh perspective, and the advocacy I didn’t even know I needed. Counselling transformed my life. Now, I want to help do the same for you.

If you’re ready to start your journey toward healing, I’d be honoured to hear your story and walk alongside you. Let’s take that first step together.

If you’d like to know a bit more about me, I’m an Adelaide-born woman of Chinese-Malaysian heritage. These days, when I’m not in the counselling room, my self-care includes making music, painting, sleeping in, and eating good food with my fiancée and friends.
